Job Description

Telecompaper, a provider of news and research for the global telecom industry, is hiring a news correspondent to cover German-language markets. The ideal candidate has a good understanding of the German language, excellent written English and a strong interest in all things telecom.

Correspondents follow the news in their selected markets, submitting daily stories and updates on all information relevant to telecoms professionals. News coverage includes all the major ISPs, network operators and internet players; new phones and network hardware; and the latest government policy and regulation affecting the telecom sector. This position will focus on covering news in Germany and Switzerland, with the opportunity to expand to other areas.

Telecompaper offers a flexible and open working environment, with the support of an international team of experienced journalists and analysts. Correspondents are provided access to our online systems and databases to support their reporting.

This position is a freelance contract, for an initial one-year term, which may be extended based on performance. Compensation will be based on the successful applicant’s experience.
